Major Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Business analysis and planning including development of the regional business plan & co-ordination of the territory planning process; customer segmentation & targeting activities; and appropriate resource allocation, sales responsibility of one Territory
  • Translation of product marketing & national strategies into effective local implementation
  • Setting territory business objectives, tracking performance & taking appropriate
  • Achievement of sales targets and business results within specified area
  • Input into and execution of product marketing strategies
  • Act as the company representative regionally – this position is 90% field based
  • Customer relationship building in compliance with Astellas business procedures & policies
  • Identify the most relevant physicians’ networks and establish, develop and leverage business relationships including relevant documentation
  • Development of regional market & competitor knowledge
  • Observe developments in the health care environment and report back on a regular basis in the monthly report
  • Inspire and maintain a highly motivated and winning sales team
  • Representative coaching, Team leadership & development
  • Leading of managed care projects
  • Budget planning and cost management

Your qualification:

  • Bachelor degree or higher, preferably in sciences, business administration, commercial or other relevant qualification
  • 6+ years operational sales experience in Pharmaceutical industry with focus on customer facing/sales and experience dealing with external KOLs
  • At least 3 years of team management experience (≥ 3 direct reports) as well as strong People Development & Coaching skills
  • Fluent in German and proficient in English and French language, both verbally and written
  • Strong commercial acumen, strategic planning & achievement drive with the ability to identify and maximize business opportunities
  • The ability to create a strong team environment whilst individualizing your approach to get the best performance out of each team member
