Major Tasks and Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Understanding and anticipating external or internal customers’ needs to bring ultimately value to patients with everything we do
  • Develop and execute the operational brand plan in market. Sets ambitious targets that are aligned to the business unit or function objectives
  • Champion the brand in-country through an expertise in all aspects of the brand. Generate and gather insights, opportunities, risks and needs from the country markets
  • Align with the Commercial Director and the ATAL on brand priorities and market requirements. Partner with peer Brand Managers in the Area Affiliates and Area Associate Marketing Directors (ATALs) to develop the recommendations for the brand budget allocation
  • Lead and manage the local cross-functional brand group, ensuring inclusion of Sales Brand Champions, Medical, Business & Market Insights and Market Access. Certify training to the Field force team
  • Confirm all marketing channels identified for use locally (including but not limited to Digital). Engage with and manage the relationship with key local customers and KOLs to develop insights and services
  • Ensure locally-specific created initiatives and materials meet local needs by following the brand strategy and positioning
  • Promote and positively affect a culture of Ethics and Compliance, applying Integrity in Action, fosters cooperation and teamwork

Professional profile

  • Significant experience of contributing to the development and implementation of brand strategy to reflect local views and achieving exceptional results to budget
  • Experience of working in a Pharma sales organisation or similar environment
  • Proven track record of planning, managing product launches, measurement and revenue growth
  • Demonstrated experience of managing the brand life cycle within a market
  • Experience of contributing to/delivering to stretch KPIs, to sustainably grow the brand and maintain performance
  • Responsibility for significant budgets and forecasting preparation/delivery
  • Experience of implementing co-created patient centric integrated services, solutions and programs
  • Project management expertise, including end-to-end project management experience. Native speaker of national language (either German or French), fluent in business English
  • Desirable: Experience of the Therapeutic area if this is already established in Astellas

Commercial Director

Major Tasks and Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the Affiliate Commercial team to deliver a best-in-industry customer offer
  • Co-develop the Affiliate strategic approach for the product portfolio and partner with the Area Senior Director, harmonisation and implementation of capability, processes, technology and platforms across the Affiliate
  • Ensure the Field force resource/framework is fit-for-purpose, monitoring and identifying requirements, taking action to reallocate resources as required
  • Attract and develop talent, managing performance and co-creating/implementing capability plans to grow high-performing teams. Role model implementation of the new commercial operating model, driving horizontal/vertical/virtual collaboration
  • Develop and maintain key stakeholder and customer relationships to drive innovation in the patient offer. Work with the EMEA Digital Centre of Excellence team. Oversee, align and allocate different channels (including Field force) to ensure optimal customer service
  • Responsible for adapting and implementing EMEA Brand plans in the local market environment. Accountable for the control of all materials / activities undertaken, to guarantee compliance with the local Code of Practice and Astellas SOPs
  • Responsible for achievement of sales targets, and management in line with budget of SG&A in the Commercial department, proactively proposing actions to mitigate potential risks and allocate resources/activities to achieve financial goals
  • Oversee, align and allocate different channels (including Field force) across Therapeutic Areas and brands to ensure optimal customer experience and maximized use of capacity/channels

Professional profile
Essential

  • Substantial country-level experience in a Pharma commercial leadership role with strong patient/ customer focus, in a multi-disciplinary, matrix and global context, including time spent progressively as a country Product Marketing Manager, Key Account Manager and Regional/National Sales Manager
  • Significant experience of implementing commercial strategy, managing multi-million budgets and achieving exceptional results in product launches, revenue and market share growth
  • Operational experience of marketing, product communication and branding
  • Growing successful, diverse, professional, high-potential teams
  • Proven track record of leading and embedding major cultural and organisational change initiatives
  • Degree in a commercial, business or science discipline. Native speaker of either German or French, fluent in business English

Desirable

  • Post-graduate qualification such as MBA and/or MSc or equivalent is highly desirable

Market Access Medicines Manager

Major Tasks and Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Role model implementation of the new Market Access Therapeutic Area model, driving horizontal/vertical/virtual collaboration and the sharing of best practice across the business to sustainably grow therapeutic area effectiveness
  • Lead on the localization of the Regional Market Access Strategy Plan and associated tools and solutions
  • Lead on the localization and submission of the Value Reimbursement Dossier for assigned medicines, developing Value Communication tools for payer through utilization of the Regional Market Access Plan and other materials (including Clinical Study Reports, Core Value Dossiers and Pricing Procedures during product lifecycle)
  • Proactively communicate Affiliate Market Access needs, insights and environmental changes concerning the local healthcare system and ensure requirements are feed up for inclusion in key Regional deliverables such as the Regional Value Strategy Plan, KPIs and Market Access tactics and solutions
  • Work collaboratively with MA/HEOR to ensure Market Access requirements are imbedded into Core Medical Plans as well as into the Global and Regional development plans
  • Support the organisation in identifying key payer customer stakeholders, co-creating and executing engagement plans
  • Partner with the local brand team to ensure Market Access requirements are embedded in the Affiliate Brand Plan. Support the local price negotiation process, identifying innovative solutions for local market access
  • Head-up cross-functional teams created to respond to new product and other emerging challenges, such as contracting, competitor challenges, purchasing reviews and marketing regulations on assigned medicines

Professional profile

  • Experience in a Market Access role in the Pharma sector with strong patient/customer focus, in multi-disciplinary, matrix and global context
  • Strong experience devising and implementing market access strategies and achieving exceptional results for product
  • Proven track record in developing and delivering compelling value propositions and access strategies
  • Evidenced success in driving price execution to deliver optimal commercial return
  • Prior experience of developing KPIs and dashboards, to support sustainable growth and performance
  • Good awareness of key Health Outcomes/Health Economics principles and their application to market access
  • Understand the needs, interests and drivers of value for payers and their key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • German native speaker, fluent in English and French

Desirable:

  • Post-graduate qualification such as MBA and/or MSc or equivalent
  • Working experience in an international context
